Malik Tillman, Mathis Albert and Cole Campbell featured for USMNT in their 1-0 win over Canada to finish the extended international break. The first two started the game, while Campbell came off the bench to make his senior national team debut.
The 20-year-old started all four of Elversberg's first Bundesliga games as he also opened his account against Bayer Leverkusen in their first-ever top-flight match. Borussia Dortmund believed to have a buyback clause for the winger who spent last season on loan at TSG Hoffenheim.
Meanwhile, current BVB winger Albert made his full international debut a week after scoring in the win over Chile. The 17-year-old is the second youngest goalscorer in USMNT history as Cavan Sullivan instantly broke his record in the last game against Mexico.
Bayer Leverkusen's Tillman also started for the third time during the international break for Mauricio Pochettino's side. The 24-year-old was one of the stars of the World Cup, but his relationship with the Rhine club leaves plenty to ponder. The attacking midfielder was an unused substitute in Leverkusen's most recent game against RB Leipzig.
USMNT finished the international break with a perfect record as they record wins over CONMEBOL sides Peru and Chile before doing the same against neighbours Mexico and Canada.
Alphonso Davies was absent from Jesse Marsch's squad due to personal reasons as they also beat two South American sides before their duel in Minnesota, which was decided by a first-half goal from the 19-year-old striker Justin Ellis.
