Erling Haaland has admitted that he enjoys facing RB Leipzig after once again proving decisive in Manchester City's Champions League victory on Wednesday.
The Norwegian striker scored the winning goal in the 78th minute on the night, as City came away from the Red Bull Arena with a 3-2 win.
For Haaland, it would be his 13th goal in nine appearances against Leipzig, having plagued the Red Bulls during spells with Borussia Dortmund and the Citizens.
Speaking to DAZN after the game, the 26-year-old was asked about his remarkable record.
“First of all, I've played plenty of times against them with Dortmund and City. I think every year we meet them,” Haaland said.
“And yeah, I mean, it's going well. I've been scoring a few goals against them. And yeah, it's always nice to play against them, let's be honest. I'm enjoying it.”
After extending his impressive record, the towering forward was full of praise for Leipzig, who twice fought back from behind before his late winner.
“I think they're a good team with good players. They always have good players, good talent. I think they've had this as long as I can remember,” he explained.
"It's never easy to come here. German teams are a bit different in a few things from English teams, and in a positive way.
“So we have to adapt a little bit, and we have to be at our best because in the Champions League, it's eight kind of finals in this group phase. So it's not easy.”
Next time out in the competition, Leipzig welcome RC Lens to Saxony, with the French side losing 9-1 to Como on Wednesday, while City prepare to welcome Italian giants Napoli.
