Transfermarkt released its newly-updated Premier League market values on Wednesday, with Germany and Liverpool star Florian Wirtz receiving the biggest downgrade of all players in the English top flight.
The former Bayer Leverkusen player has seen his market value drop by €15 million, falling from €100 million to €85 million.
“Last season, we gave Wirtz plenty of credit because technically gifted players often need time to adapt to the Premier League,” said Transfermarkt’s Premier League market value coordinator Ben Littlemore.
“However, he continues to fall short of expectations for a player with his market value, which is why another significant downgrade was necessary.”
Since moving to England, Wirtz’s market value has fallen from €140 million to €85 million.
