Christoph Spycher is currently the preferred candidate among several options to succeed Markus Krösche at Eintracht Frankfurt.

As Sky Germany understands, Spycher would be their new board member for sport, but it all depends on timing for the 48-year-old.

Frankfurt are impressed by his outstanding work for many years and he is open to taking the next step if everything falls into place.

The pay-TV channel notes that there is also no release clause in his contract with BSC Young Boys which may complicate things slightly.

Talks between Frankurt and Spycher are already underway. New CEO Axel Hellmann wants to present Krösche’s successor soon.

Spycher also previous worked with Adi Hütter and played for the Hessen side between 2005 and 2010, so he knows the club very well.
