Hamburger SV will not look to the transfer market in the short term following Nicolai Remberg's cruciate ligament tear.

According to Sky Germany, signing a free agent to replace the injured defensive midfielder is currently not under consideration.

Remberg, club captain under coach Merlin Polzin is likely to miss the remainder of the season for the Hanseatic club.

With the winter transfer window approaching, the club bosses are believed to be “intensely considering potential reinforcements.”

Ultimately, according to the pay-TV channel, whether any signings actually materialize remains a completely different question.

It will also depend on whether Polzin's team can collectively compensate for Remberg's absence in the coming months.

Currently, it's anticipated that Nicolás Capaldo will shift forward from central defence to join Albert Sambi-Lokonga in Remberg's absence.
