A report from German tabloid Sport BILD has revealed that both Lennart Karl and Serge Gnabry have began their roads to recovery.

Lennart Karl is back at Bayern Munich's training ground, Säbener Straße, today to begin his rehab and worked indoors.

Karl is unlikely to be fit for the start of pre-season – Bayern expect him to be out for 8 weeks and will not take any risks with him.

His goal is to be fully fit for the first competitive match on 22 August in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup against Borussia Dortmund.

Meanwhile, Serge Gnabry continued his rehab training on Monday at the same location under rehab manager Benjamin Sommer.

The German international did running laps and drills with the ball – but once again, all in running shoes rather than football boots.

Bayern's expectation for Gnabry was up to 4 months on the sidelines – two and a half  of those months have already passed.

Similar in ways to his teammate Karl, the versatile attacker's goal is to return for the start of the 2026-27 season in August.
