Reports: Frankfurt seal deal for new striker, pursue two more players

Transfermarkt's Philipp Marquardt and now Fabrizio Romano himself are reporting that Eintracht Frankfurt's capture of French striker Randal Kolo Muani is a done deal.

The SGE is also being linked with two more players, Anthony Caci of Racing Strasbourg and Malther Højholt of Aalborg BK, by separate sources.

With six days to go before the January transfer window officially opens, Markus Krösche and Eintracht Frankfurt apparently have their first deal done. Transfermarkt's Philipp Marquardt reports that the controversial purchase of FC Nantes striker Randal Kolo Muani has been completed.

As of yet, details about the arrangement are not available. The 23-year-old, the subject of a Fair Play violation complaint filed by his French club, presumably still has a contract with Nantes through the end of the season. Transfermarkt, the source of the report, nevertheless lists his status as "released" effective January 1st.

If Nantes is not set to receive compensation, one can safely assume that they will continue to seek redress through their filed grievance. Transfermarkt also reports on a somewhat softer rumor involving the Eagles of Germany's commercial capital and a Ligue 1 player.

Twenty-four-year old RC Straßburg Alsace fullback Anthony Caci is apparently on his way across the border. This is based on a statement by the player's agent, who let France's Le 10 Sport know that his client was moving to the Bundesliga.

Agent Yacine Ayad apparently confirmed outright to the publication that Caci was headed for Germany, but did not specify which club or even whether the transfer would take place in January or the summer.

Ayad referenced Frankfurt while also noting that there was "stiff competition" for his client before noting that a deal probably wouldn't be completed during the coming window. A right fullback/wingback is definitely on the SGE's "immediate needs" shopping list.

Meanwhile, Denmark's "NordicBet" links Eintracht with a third player. According to the Danish source, SGE scouts have been visiting Aalborg to check out AaB's 20-year-old central midfielder Malthe Højholt. The German club is said to be in "pole position" to acquire the youngster, who could conceivably work well with the burgeoning Jesper Lindstrøm.

NordicBet goes on to say that the Danish club wants some €4 million for the currently €600,000 valued prospect, with Eintracht currently trying to talk the price down somewhat. Krösche paid approximately €7 million this summer.
