Most recently linked with Eintracht Frankfurt, racing Straßburg defender Anthony Caci's post-season hop across the border will apparently lead him to the Pfalz. This is according to a report by L'Equipe, which claims that the 24-year-old decided for the Rheinhessen despite being courted by Eintracht and Hertha BSC.

It had long been tacitly assumed that Caci, on an expiring contract, would be making the move to the Bundesliga next season. The player's agent had confirmed as much when speaking to "Le 10 Sport" last week.

In 98 appearances for his current Alsatian club over the past six seasons, Caci has mostly played as a left fullback. The versatile youngster has nevertheless been used all along the back line and in defensive midfield during 87 top division deployments.

German footballing magazine Kicker confirms the report appearing in the French journal and says that Caci has signed a four-year-deal. Kicker emphasizes that a medical is still pending.
