After not one, but two collapsed loan deals in the most recent January transfer window, Dortmund net-minder Roman Bürki has apparently finally found a new home. There is reportedly an agreement to bring the 31-year-old Swiss keeper to new MLS club St. Louis city after the season is over.

The new Missouri MLS club prepares to begin its journey next spring. German scout, functionary, personnel boss, and commentator Lutz Pfannenstiel is charge of putting the new squad together.

The 48-year-old, last active in German football as a boss for Fortuna Düsseldorf during there 2019/20 campaign, has already lured Joao Klauss (Hoffenheim) and Tomas Ostrak (FC Köln) to his new stateside project.

Burki was the number #1 between the sticks for Dortmund as late as last spring, ultimately falling behind back-up gloveman Marwin Hitz during the final stages of last season. The veteran then slid to #3 in the depth chart after the acquisition of Gregor Kobel this past summer.
