Sport1 Report: Kostic to remain in Frankfurt on €5 million annual salary
German broadcaster Sport1 now reports that Serbian superstar Filip Kostic is like to remain with Eintracht Frankfurt after all.
The reason for the sudden about face, as per Sport1, is that SGE sporting director Markus Krösche has opted to go all-out with his own finances. It has long been considered reliable information that Eintracht have offered the Serbian winger a salary of some €4 million annually should he sign new working papers.
That tender has now reportedly been increased to €5 million. Should such information prove correct, Kostic will join German national team keeper Kevin Trapp as Frankfurt's highest paid professional. No other German footballing media sources presently corroborate the report.
