Sport Bild Report: Eintracht offer Kostic €4 million annually, expect decision soon

Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that Eintracht Frankfurt have tendered Filip Kostic a generous contract extension offer aimed at soliciting a decision from the Serbian superstar soon.

Having repeatedly stated that his high-caliber players must extend their contracts beyond the 2023 season should they wish to remain with the club, Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche has reportedly put all of his cards on the table with respect to his star left-wing assist-meister.

Perhaps keen to avoid the unwelcome distraction of late last summer, the SGE personnel chief wishes to get Kostic's decision out of the way as soon as possible. German tabloid Sport Bild claims that Krösche and the administrative team have offered the 29-year-old an annual pay increase from €2.5 million to €4 million on a contract running through 2026.

Whether or not Kostic accepts what Sport Bild labels a "retirement contract" remains to be seen. It does not appear as if the SGE will be in much of a patient mood with respect to the player's choice.
