Schwarz gives updates on Plattenhardt and Maolida

Hertha BSC trainer Sandro Schwarz revealed that captain Marvin Plattenhardt and left-flank attacker Myziane Maolida both remained in individualized training ahead of Friday's clash with Gladbach.
Hertha head-coach Sandro Schwarz had to do without two regular starters on his squad's left-flank last Saturday against Eintracht Frankfurt.  The question as to whether either newly-anointed captain Marvin Plattenhardt or attacker Myziane Maolida will be available on a tight turnaround against Gladbach this coming Friday night remains an open one. Both players continue to struggle with muscular issues.

Schwarz revealed in a Wednesday presser that Maolida remains "a little further ahead" than Plattenhardt in the reintegration into full team training, and thereby might stand a better chance of starting over Saturday/s replacement Chidera Ejuke. Plattenhardt--the team's talismanic set-piece taker--will race against time in the hopes of taking over from Maximilian Mittelstädt.

Gladbach themselves will be hoping to get their own captain back in time for Friday's round three curtain-raise. At a presser yesterday, BMG head-coach Daniel Farke noted that squad skipper Lars Stindl had returned to light training on Tuesday and might be able to return to the pitch by Friday night.

At today's press conference, Farke revealed that Stindl had rejoined team training.
