Kicker Report: Rutter in negotiations for EPL switch

Michael Pfeiffer of Germany's Kicker magazine reports that Hoffenheim striker Georginio Rutter might be on the verge of a move to Leeds United.
Twenty-year-old French talent Georginio Rutter may be on the move to the English Premiership. Reporting from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's training camp Albufeira, Portugal, German journalist Michael Pfeiffer reports that the French youth international recently sat out a test fixture due to ongoing transfer negotiations with Leeds United.

Since transferring to Germany from Stade Rennes in the January 2021 transfer window, Rutter has netted 11 goals in 57 top-flight appearances for die Kraichgauer. The youngster has started 11 of his club's 15 league fixtures so far this year, racking up two tallies and two assists. His current estimated market worth stands at €16 million.

Pfeiffer cites internal sources to claim that a transfer to Yorkshire is in the offing. Hoffenheim recently extended with Rutter and seemed to be hoping to hold on to him for some time longer in order to oversee his development and allow his market value to rise higher. A transfer offer in the range of his current market worth may nevertheless be tempting enough.

The Sinsheimers paid just €750,000 to purchase Rutter two years ago.
