After traversing a bout with a stomach bug midweek, Bayern München #1 Yann Sommer was able to return to full team training on Friday. FCB trainer Thomas Tuchel noted that there should be no reason why the Swiss net-minder wouldn't be able to start in goal tomorrow in a critical league showdown with RB Leipzig at his Friday presser.

Asked about other personnel options, Tuchel seemed to suggest that he would be making no major changes to the XI that defeated Schalke 6-0 last weekend. The gaffer said that, "performance-wise", he was pleased with what he had in place. Tuchel did however note that "every match is different" and specifically praised the training week performances of both Leon Goretzka and Ryan Gravenberch.
