Report: Southampton striker Onuachu has two Bundesliga suitors

Footballing journalist Sacha Tavolieri now reports that Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu of relegated EPL side Southhampton FC is now a purchase candidate at both 1. FC Union Berlin and VfB Stuttgart.
Following a disappointing six-month stint on England's southern coast, Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu seems destined for a return to the continent. The former Genk forward had been linked with a potential move to German 2023/24 Champions' League representatives 1. FC Union Berlin by footballing journalists Sacha Tavolieri some days ago.

Tavolieri now claims that the nearly-relegated VfB Stuttgart are interested in acquiring the 18-times-capped Nigerian international as well. The player's price tag - Onuachu retains an estimated market worth of €17 million in the latest transfermarkt listings - may prove a stumbling block for the Swabians. Moreover, the VfB already have a preferred center-forward in the form of the newly-signed Serhou Guirassy.

As a product of Denmark's FC Midtjylland academy, Onuachu has often been linked with a move south to the Bundesrepublik. The target-man was once even considered a potential Erling Haaland replacement at Borussia Dortmund. Onuachu's departure from St. Mary's is all but certain at this point. He was unable to get his name on the scoresheet in 11 Premiership appearances for the relegated side.
