Official: Stiller transfers to Stuttgart

Angelo Stiller was unveiled as a new VfB Stuttgart signing shortly before the Swabians kicked off against Leipzig on Friday night.
After reaching a breakthrough in negotiations late this week, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and VfB Stuttgart have wrapped up the deal to send Germany U21 international Angelo Stiller to Swabia. The 22-year-old was unveiled shortly before Stuttgart kicked off against Leipzig in the 2023/24 Bundesliga Matchday Two curtain-raiser. Stiller signed a new deal good through 2027.

Germany's Kicker Magazine is currently reporting that the base-transfer-fee actually amounted to only €5.5 million, though the amount of performance-related bonuses remains unknown at this point. Kicker and others reported earlier in the week that Hoffenheim would receive closer to €10 million for the former FC Bayern campus academy man.

"We are delighted to have signed Angelo Stiller, a player of such high talent for our central midfield," VfB sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth noted in a club statements, With his signing, we are taking an important step in responing to the transfers of the past few days. At 22 years of age, he is already an established Bundesliga player and also has great potential for development"

"I am very happy about my move to VfB Stuttgart," the player himself added, "When I first heard about the interest, it was immediately clear to me that I only wanted to go to VfB. I'm thrilled by the great fans, the stadium and the club's long tradition. I want to achieve a lot with VfB and I am sure that we will be successful together in the coming years."
