Bayern Munich
After suffering a disappointing 3-0 defeat to RB Leipzig in the DFL-Supercup, Bayern bounced back with a dominant display in their league opener against Bremen. Thomas Tuchel’s side took a slender lead into the interval thanks to Leroy Sané's fourth-minute strike.
Although they had to be patient, Bayern doubled their advantage in the 74th minute when Harry Kane slotted home his first goal for the club. Sané went on to register his second goal of the evening, before substitute Mathys Tel rounded off the scoring with a stoppage-time strike, ensuring the champions returned home in a buoyant mood.
Bayern will now look to claim maximum points in their first home game of the Bundesliga season against fellow Bavarian side Augsburg. Although they lost their final home match of the 2022-23 season to RB Leipzig, they enjoyed a 23-game unbeaten home league run prior to losing to die Roten Bullen in May.

Jamal Musiala will miss out after suffering a hamstring in training. The hosts are also expected to be without the services of Bouna Sarr, Raphael Guerreiro, and Manuel Neuer.
Augsburg
After suffering a surprise cup exit at the hands of Unterhaching, Augsburg looked set to bounce back with a win in their league opener against Borussia Mönchengladbach, as they entered the closing stages with a 4-3 lead in an enthralling contest. However, a late Gladbach penalty in the seventh minute of stoppage time ensured Augsburg had to settle for a share of the spoils. The Fuggerstädter have now gone four league games without a win, while they have won just one of their previous 12 top-flight fixtures.
Enrico Maaßen’s side have the unenvious honour of being the first team to visit the Allianz Arena in the Bundesliga this season. The visitors have lost their last four away meetings with the reigning champions, which includes last season’s 5-3 defeat. While that run of results may be a cause for concern, Augsburg did claim a win over Bayern last term, recording a 1-0 victory in September’s home encounter.

Augsburg are unable to call upon Raphael Framberger, Jeffrey Gouweleeuw, Nathanael Mbuku, Masaya Okugawa and Reece Oxford. There are also doubts over the availability of Ruben Vargas and Robert Gumny due to illness.
