Cancelo reflects on Bayern spell: "The Bundesliga was harder than I thought"

Winning the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich last season was a lot harder than he thought it would be, says Joao Cancelo.
After falling out of favour at Manchester City, Joao Cancelo spent the second half of last season on loan at Bayern Munich.

The Portuguese left-back made 21 appearances for the Bavarians, scoring one goal and providing six assists to help them to the title.

In an interview with A Bola, Cancelo reflected on his time in Germany, saying that winning the Bundesliga with Bayern was much harder than he thought it would be.

"The Bundesliga was harder than I thought. I thought the Bundesliga would be easier than it was and that Bayern would be much more dominant, especially because they had won 10 titles in a row," Cancelo said, adding:

"Things got complicated in the end because Dortmund were doing very well when I arrived, playing very good football. I had the pleasure of playing for this team full of talent and the happiness of winning a title with the club."

Cancelo is currently on loan at FC Barcelona.
