Jude Bellingham shares his first impressions of Dortmund

Jude Bellingham outlines his reasons for joining Borussia Dortmund and shares his first impressions of his new club.
In an interview with Ruhr Nachrichten, Jude Bellingham reflects on his decision to join Borussia Dortmund from Birmingham City and gives his first impressions of his new club.

The 17-year-old turned down a host of clubs to come to Signal Iduna Park, where he looks to continue his development.

"I think the way young players can develop at the highest level in Dortmund is perfect for the next steps in my personal development," Bellingham said and continued:

"The club and I agreed that I should be there from the start. To be honest, that was my clear desire. I wanted to be there right away, get to know the boys and show what I can do. I was a bit tired mentally after a tough season in the Championship, but I felt ready to be there from day one of pre-season.

"Football-wise, the intensity at BVB is much higher. Many players here are among the best footballers in the Bundesliga, some of them perhaps even among the best in the world. The level here is very high at all levels, and I'm really looking forward to testing myself here and learning a lot."

Bellingham made 44 appearances for Birmingham City in the 2019/20 season, racking up four goals and three assists.
