Konstatinos Mavropanos needs surgery on a meniscus injury and is expected to be out for the rest of the year.
VfB Stuttgart will be without Konstatinos Mavropanos for a while as the centre-back needs surgery on a torn meniscus.

The Arsenal loanee sustained the injury in a friendly match against Freiburg a week ago and is now expected to be out for the rest of the year.

"'Dinos' suffered a torn meniscus in our friendly against Freiburg and needs surgery," Stuttgart coach Pellegrino Matarazzo revealed ahead of Saturday's Bundesliga encounter with Hertha BSC.

Fellow centre-back Waldemar Anton is set to miss out on Saturday's game against Hertha due to an ankle injury.

On the positive side for Stuttgart, Nicolas Gonzalez is in contention to play after recovering from a muscle injury.
