Uth more hopeful after latest performance: "We'll get this course reversed"
Schalke midfielder Mark Uth took care not fall back on excuses following his side's 25th consecutive league match without a victory.

In stark contrast to last week, Mark Uth at least liked what he saw from his teammates in the opening half hour of their latest encounter. Uth himself looked spry and motivated for the first thirty minutes, assisting on Benito Raman's goal and nearly collecting one himself.
"I can never live with a defeat," Uth told the Sky microphones afterwards, "especially not today when we played well during the first half and probably deserved the 2-1."
Uth acknowledged that a "would have, could have" spiral never replaced an actual win and did admonish his team for "pulling the plug" on their efforts after Gladbach scored the third goal. "That I don't quite understand," Uth said, "we have to carry on in such situations, precisely because we did so many things right."
Fellow attacker Steven Skrzybski agreed, saying "When you look at the first half, it looks like progress." Skzybski also qualified his optimism by saying "but first steps don't help us. We shouldn't really be talking about steps at all."
Uth concluded his post-match interview by stating that he believed a turnaround was still possible. "At a certain point we'll get this course reversed."
