Jamal Musiala confirms decision to play for Germany ahead of England
After much consideration, Jamal Musiala has chosen to represent Germany instead of England.
Bayern München youngster Jamal Musiala has confirmed that he has decided to play for Germany rather than England.
"In the end, I just listened to the feeling that over a long period of time kept telling me that it was the right decision to play for Germany, the land I was born in," Musiala said in an interview with The Athletic.
"Still, it wasn't an easy decision for me," he added.
Musiala, 17, has represented both Germany and England at youth level. Most recently, he appeared for England's U21s in November 2020.
According to reports, he is set to receive his first call-up to Germany's senior side for their fixtures in March.
