Earlier today, the German Football Association (DFB) confirmed that a member of the Germany squad – reported to be Gladbach midfielder Jonas Hofmann – has tested positive for coronavirus ahead of tonight's World Cup qualifier against Iceland.
Bild is now reporting that Halstenberg will miss the game as well, claiming that the RB Leipzig left-back has been placed in self-quarantine after being in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
Nevertheless, the game is currently scheduled to go ahead as planned, DFB spokesman Jens Grittner has said.
