DFL boss Christian Seifert officially confirmed the postponement in a conversation with "Bild Live" on Friday. Further upcoming fixtures against Freiburg and Schalke remain on for now, but most German footballing journalists believe that they will be suspended as well.
"It's a challenge for the schedule. That much is clear," Seifert told his interviewer, "but it's also clear that something like this can happen at this time. We'll face this and think about how to approach the schedule."
A make-up date will almost certainly not be announced until the DFL decides to handle the additional two fixtures.
