Reports: HSV capture Cardiff's Glatzel, striker to be presented after medical
German footballing magazine Kicker reports that striker Robert Glatzel is in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg for a medical and confirmation of a transfer to the HSV should come later this afternoon.
The 27-year-old is headed back to Germany's second professional footballing tier after a successful loan spell with FSV Mainz 05.

Both German footballing magazine Kicker and the country's main sporting tabloid report that 2. Bundesliga club Hamburger SV will sign Glatzel away from his current parent club of Cardiff City in the EFL Championship. The two sources report different transfer fees. Kicker says the deal will cost €900,00 while Sport Bild speaks of a €500,000 fee.
In any event, der Dino appears poised to acquire the 27-year-old for significantly less than his estimated €2.5 million market value. Glatzel scored twice for Mainz in during his recent six-month loan spell in the Pfalz. Vital goals in round 21 and round 26 kept him on the radar on several first and second division spots.
Glatzel is set to serve as the replacement for Simon Terrode, who was snatched up by the relegated FC Schalke 04. The deal might mean that courted Danish attacker Mikkel Kaufmann will join a different German club.
