Unlike the older brother two years his senior, Felix Nmecha arrives in Germany's Autostadt free of charge. Twenty-year-old Felix Nmecha does not bring with him anywhere near the amount of professional experience as his sibling. Felix actually has only represented the Man City senior side as a substitute in two EFL Cup matches and an UCL group stage fixture.

It nevertheless appears as if VfL Wolfsburg plans too use him in their senior team. As part of the announcements confirming Felix's signing, the club revealed that he had been assigned a tricot number and would train with the first team, at least initially, in camp.

"Felix is a player who fits perfectly into our profile," VfL sporting director Marcel Schäfer said in a statement, "He is young, possesses excellent talent, and is willing to learn."
