Confirmed: Stach "thrilled" to join Germany U21 teammates Burkardt and Dahmen in Mainz

Confirmation came quickly on Saturday afternoon with both Fürth and Mainz announcing that 22-year-old Germany U21 star Anton Stach would complete an expensive switch.
The numbers reported on earlier can now be confirmed to be correct. Anton Stach became Fürth's most expensive ever sale, moving over to Bo Svensson's Rheinhessen for a €3.5 million fee.

The Franconians published a post on the club's official twitter feed informing fans that Stach would not be returning to the "Kleeblätter" after the German Olympic team's exit. Fürth thanked the 22-year-old for his service and wished him continued success in the future.

Shortly thereafter, Mainz welcomed Stach on their own feed.

In a statement released on the club's website, the youngster declared himself thrilled to be joining two of his Germany U21 teammates from the recent U21 European Championship winning side in the Pfalz.

"I'm really looking forward to playing with Johnny [striker Jonathan Burkardt] and Finn [keeper Finn Dahmen]," Stach said, "as well as the city and the fans."
