Negotiations for Rodrigo Zalazar's loan-out from Eintracht Frankfurt to FC Schalke 04 have dragged on for several days now. At long last, it appears as if the two clubs have come to an agreement on a rather complex arrangement.
Eintracht also announced that Ali Akman's absence from training on Tuesday was due to negotiations with another club. The recently acquired young Turkish talent should also be on the precipice of a loan.

At last check, Eintracht Frankfurt were seeking a €1 million obligatory purchase clause from Schalke 04 whilst negotiating a loan-out for central midfielder Rodrigo Zalazar. Frankfurt confirmed Zalazar's negotiations with another club on Saturday. S04 sporting director Rouven Schröder nevertheless told Sky Germany on Sunday that the arrangement was "far from fixed".
As confirmed by several German media sources on Tuesday evening, the two German clubs have a deal close to the line; albeit not a very easy to understand one. According to Germany's main sporting tabloid, Eintracht have secured a €2.5 million mandatory purchase clause in the event of promotion.
It's unclear what concessions were made to Schalke for this, other than the fact that there shall be no loan fee and Frankfurt has a nebulous buyback clause of some kind. There are also some rumors that the purchase clause is obligatory whether Schalke attains promotion or not and some talk of re-sale percentages for Frankfurt.
For Frankfurt's part, the club confirmed Zalazar's negotiations continued and that 19-year Turkish attacker Ali Akman is presently part of a separate loan negotiation. The new arrival has generated quite a bit of buzz during training camp, but it looks as if the club believes that he won't be able to get sufficient playing time with the SGE in the coming season.
No information is currently available about Akman's potential destination.
