Greuther Fürth snap up Jetro Willems on free transfer

Jetro Willems has joined Greuther Fürth on a free transfer.

Greuther Fürth have confirmed the arrival of Jetro Willems on a two-year contract.

The 27-year-old was a free agent after leaving Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of last season.

"With Jetro, we get a very experienced full-back, who wants to find his way back to old strength after a difficult spell. His style of football fits very well into what we expect from a left-back," said Greuther Fürth managing director for sport Rachid Azzouzi.

Willems, who will wear the number 15 shirt, commented:

"I have recently kept myself fit with an athletic trainer in order to be ready to help my new team as soon as possible. I am very much looking forward to the task with 'Kleeblatt' and to getting to know the team."
