Frankfurt dismiss reports they blocked Kostic's transfer, claim Lazio typed the email address wrong

Confusion over Filip Kostic's failed transfer to Lazio has taken another twist, with Eintracht Frankfurt now claiming that the Italian side forgot a 'K' in the address when they tried to send their offer via email.

Eintracht Frankfurt have dismissed suggestions that they gave SS Lazio a fake email address in their negotiations about Filip Kostic.

Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Kostic's proposed move to Italy fell through because Frankfurt deliberately provided Lazio with the wrong email address.

However, when asked about the report by Goal and Spox, Eintracht stated that it was in fact Lazio who forgot the letter 'K' in the email address when sending their offer and that the Serie A side have subsequently admitted this in writing.

Kostic was left out of Frankfurt's squad for their 1-1 draw with Arminia Bielefeld last Saturday after he skipped training the day before in an attempt to force through a move to Lazio.

The Serbian winger still has two years left on his contract with Frankfurt.
