Official: Fortuna Düsseldorf secure loan for Karlsruhe's Andreas Müller

The 26-year-old midfielder has completed his move to Fortuna Düsseldorf and will be eager to help them achieve promotion from the 3.Liga.

As officially announced this afternoon, Tuesday 11 August, Fortuna Düsseldorf have secured the services of Andreas Müller.

The 26-year-old joins the Red and Whites on loan from Karlsruhe SC and will wear the No.6 jersey for the 2026-27 campaign.

Müller, a native of Sinsheim, joined the youth academy of TSG Hoffenheim in 2009 and played for the club for eight years.

In July 2017, he joined the U-19 team of FC Astoria Walldorf and three seasons later, he made the move to 1.FC Magdeburg.

The 26-year-old then played for SV Darmstadt 98 for a further two campaigns and most recently for Karlsruhe.SC. 

The defensive midfielder brings experience from eleven Bundesliga appearances and 74 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga.

“We made a real effort to sign Andreas and are all the more delighted that the transfer has now gone through," said F95 sporting director Samir Arabi.

"He is a technically gifted defensive midfielder who, in addition to his quality on the ball, also brings the necessary aggression and tackling strength defensively.

"He perfectly matches the profile we were looking for in this position. We are convinced that he will bring additional stability and structure to our game.”
