Bayer Leverkusen have officially signed Ibrahim Maza from Hertha Berlin, the club's social media pages announced.

Maza, who despite only being 19 years of age, has made 30 appearances in the 2.Bundesliga this season where he netted 5 goals and assisted 3.

It is believed that the fee for the attack-minded midfielder is rumoured to be around €12million thanks to a buy-out option in the youngster's contract.

Born in Germany, the talented teen represents Algeria on the international stage having made his debut against Togo back in October 2004.

Sporting director Simon Rolfes expressed his overwhelming happiness in the club's ability to sign Maza and explained how highly he rates him.

"Ibrahim Maza is currently one of the most interesting young attacking players. He fits in with our style of football.

“He has outstanding technical skills, is a strong dribbler and assertive, and has an eye for his teammates, which he uses brilliantly,” Rolfes explained.
