Reports emerged in December linking RB Leipzig left-back David Raum with a move to Manchester United.

The 26-year-old has previously admitted that he could see himself playing in England at some point.

And when asked by Sport Bild about Manchester United's reported interest in him, he made it clear again that he likes the Premier League.

"I have never made a secret of the fact that the Premier League is something special. Not only is the league strong in general, but as a physically strong player I really like it," said Raum.

"But I always act in such a way that I take the step that is best for my career. That was and is Leipzig. I've matured here and I still have some goals at RB," he continued.

Signing a contract extension with Leipzig beyond 2027 is not currently on the agenda for the left-back, who recently returned to full training after a lengthy injury lay-off.

“That is not on my mind at the moment," he said about the possibility of signing a new deal with Die Roten Bullen.

"I feel very comfortable here, but first and foremost, I want to play regularly again after my injury.”
