After VfB Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeness remained tight-lipped at his pre-match press conference on Monday about who would start in goal for Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid, it now appears that a decision has been made.

According to Sky Germany, 20-year-old Dennis Seimen is set to make his first Champions League start, ahead of the more experienced Fabian Bredlow.

The two have shared playing time in recent matches, with Seimen featuring in the Bundesliga against Paderborn and Hamburger SV, while Bredlow was in goal for the Champions League clash with Slovan Bratislava.

At just 20 years old, Seimen is now reportedly set to become the youngest goalkeeper in Stuttgart’s history to play in the Champions League.

The game between Stuttgart and Atletico Madrid at the MHPArena kicks off at 21:00 CEST on Tuesday
