“The current tendency is for him to stay,” said Christoph Freund after today's victory.

This comes after intense speculation regarding the 29-year-old French forward linking Tel with a move to the Premier League.

After reports suggest that the youngster refused a move to Tottenham, Manchester United were in pole position to land his signature prior to today's update.

Freund went on to finish off saying, saying, "We are not in concrete negotiations with any club. If anything else happens, we will speak to him.”

With Monday's deadline drawing closer, and closer, the situation surrounding Tel's future is the cog in the Bundesliga to keep and eye on.
