Bayer Leverkusen not willing to let Lucas Alario leave

Bayer Leverkusen boss Simon Rolfes says the club want to hold on to Lucas Alario.
Lucas Alario has been linked with a move away from Bayer Leverkusen in January. But 'Die Werkself' aren't ready to listen to offers for the striker, who recently scored twice against Schalke 04, says the club's sporting director, Simon Rolfes.

"We have no interest in letting him go at all. Lucas is an important player, he showed that once more against Schalke," Rolfes told Kicker.

The Argentine striker recently hinted that he might consider his future if he doesn't get more first-team action at Leverkusen.

"I've had the chance to play for the national team this year, and of course you want to stay in the coach's sights. You have to play to do so," he said.

Alario's contract runs until 2022.
