Achraf Hakimi spoke to the media after French side Paris Saint-Germain, the champions of Europe, eliminated FC Bayern München from the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup tournament in the third quarterfinal in Atlanta.

When asked to summarise the performance from Paris Saint-Germain, he said: “We are really happy and proud of the effort of our team. We know that Bayern are a tough team, and I think we did what we needed to do to take the victory - we are happy about that.” He added that Bayern was a team that “plays similar football to us”, with a similar mentality and strategy to that of Paris Saint-Germain itself.

When asked who he would prefer in the second semifinal, between Spanish champions Real Madrid CF and German side Borussia Dortmund, the Moroccan international responded: “I think it is not really important [who our opponent is] - I think we need to focus on us, always coming in and being ready to face them, and try to win”.

The interview was about to conclude, but Hakimi wanted to speak about Jamal Musiala's injury. He said about the matter: “For Musiala, I think that this match was something very important for him today - I want to give my support for him, and I hope he will come back soon, that we get to see him on the pitch again soon”.

Paris Saint-Germain will face one of Real Madrid CF or Borussia Dortmund in the second semifinal; that match will start Wednesday, 15.00 (EDT)/21.00 (CET) in East Rutherford.
