Report: Bayern make first contact with Gruda

Sport Bild reports that Bayern Munich have made initial contact with Mainz wonderkid Brajan Gruda over a possible move to the Allianz Arena.

Brajan Gruda has been linked with a number of top clubs following his breakthrough 2023/24 season for Mainz.

One of them is Bayern, who, according to Sport Bild, have already made contact with the 20-year-old winger.

According to the report, Gruda would be inclined to join Bayern in the event of a transfer, but a stay in Mainz is by no means out of the question.

The report also claims that Mainz would demand a staggering 50 million euros to let go of their young jewel this summer.

Gruda was invited to train with the German national team ahead of Euro 2024 and impressed until an injury forced him to return home.

Speaking at the national team camp, he admitted that he's dreaming of a move to Bayern, but also stressed the importance of regular playing time.

"If I don't play for a new club, it would destroy me. Eventually there will be enough money, so right now it's just important that I get a lot of playing time and continue to develop," he said.

Gruda scored four goals and provided three assists in 29 appearances for Mainz in the 2023/24 season.
