Bayern's negotiations with Davies hit new stumbling block, per report

Bayern Munich's negotiations with Alphonso Davies over a new contract have reportedly hit a new stumbling block.

After a period of stalled negotiations, Bayern Munich recently reopened talks with Alphonso Davies over a contract extension.

However, an agreement is still not in sight as the parties remain far apart on the salary, according to Sport Bild.

The report claims that Davies' agent, Nick Huoseh, was at the Säbener Strasse recently, but left on Thursday without having achieved anything.

Huoseh is reportedly demanding a salary of €16 million per year plus bonuses for his client, and Bayern are not prepared to meet that demand. Unless Davies lowers his demands, the deal will fall through, Sport Bild claims.

AC Milan's Theo Hernandez has long been touted as a replacement for Davies, but after initial talks between Bayern and the player's agent, it's now clear that the Frenchman will not be moving to the Allianz Arena, Sport Bild adds.

Davies, 23, has played for Bayern since 2019. His contract runs until 2025.
