Bayern provide fresh injury update on Musiala

Jamal Musiala was forced to withdraw from the Germany squad after suffering a minor muscle tear ahead of his country’s 1-1 draw with the Netherlands in Amsterdam in September.
As confirmed by Bayern Munich in a brief statement, Musiala is now making progress in his recovery and was out on the training pitch doing individual work on Thursday.
“The 23-year-old attacker worked with fitness coach Simon Martinello prior to team training, doing drills focused on changes of direction and enjoying some time with the ball at his feet,” the German champions said.
It remains unclear exactly when Musiala will be able to return to action, but he is expected to miss at least Saturday’s Bundesliga game against Augsburg and Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Viking.
