Bayern Munich have announced that Cassiano Kiala has signed a contract extension.

The German champions have not specified the length of the 17-year-old defender’s new deal, but according to Bild, it runs until 2030.

“We have high hopes for Cassiano and want to gradually integrate him into our first team," said Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund of the German U19 international.

"He's the second-youngest player to make his debut in the history of the FC Bayern first team, has already taken on responsibility as captain of the Germany Under-17s, and has everything it takes to carve out a career at FC Bayern. He was hampered by injuries last season – now we’re looking forward to taking the next steps with him.”

Kiala made his senior debut in a Bundesliga game against Heidenheim in December 2025, which remains his only first-team appearance for Bayern.

He missed the final months of the 2025/26 season due to a syndesmotic ligament tear.
