Gio Reyna is finally set to depart Borussia Dortmund on a permanent deal this summer. Meanwhile, another United States midfielder could follow suit as there is still no certainty over Cole Campbell’s future at the club.
However, it’s now clear that he’ll not be heading to Stuttgart. After the DFB-Pokal holders completed the deal for the return of Tiago Tomas yesterday, Sky understood that the potential transfer of Campbell to the Swabians is off the table.
BVB are offering a new contract until 2030 for the right winger, but there is still no clarity over his future. Campbell played six games for Dortmund’s first team, including four Bundesliga appearances. Niko Kovac didn't use the player in the Club World Cup staged in his home country.
