A rumored loan deal involving young Croatian attacker Lovro Zvonarek of FC Bayern München has been officially confirmed. The 19-year-old will spend the 2024/25 campaign on loan with Austrian champions Sutra Graz, in the process potentially also accruing some valuable Champions' League experience. As reported upon earlier, the loan does not include a purchase option. Zvonarek already has five Bundesliga appearances, and one goal, to his credit.

"Lovro Zvonarek is a very exciting player who has everything he needs to hold his own in professional football," FCB sporting director Christoph Freund noted in a Bayern statement accompanying the news, "He was already captain in the Croatian first division in his home country at the age of 16 and, at 19, he is already playing very mature football. We are convinced that he will take the next steps at Sturm Graz by gaining experience in the Bundesliga and Champions League."

"SK Sturm is a top club in Austria and is playing in the Champions League this season," Zvonarek himself added, "I can't think of a better place to take the next step in my development."
