BVB trainer Edin Terzic once again appears prepared to deploy a heavily rotated squad in a league fixture against Mainz this evening. As is commonly the case ahead of Dortmund away fixtures, North Rhine-Westphalia's "Ruhr Nachrichten" newspaper has kept close tabs on which players traveled with the team. Four of the players who started against PSG midweek have been left behind.
Niclas Füllkrug, Karim Adeyemi, Marcel Sabitzer, Mats Hummels did not travel with the team. Last week's promising debutant Kjell Wätjen has once again been selected for Terzic's bench squad. So too, after reporting to the reserves last week, has potential transfer candidate Ole Pohlmann. Terzic already confirmed at his Friday presser that he would be rotating his squad in order to keep "fresh" personnel on the pitch.
