Reports: Essende to Augsburg a done deal, Stuttgart enter Demirovic race

Germany's preeminent footballing publication reports that FC Augsburg have finalized the deal to bring Congolese striker Samuel Essende to the Fuggerstadt. Germany's main sporting tabloid, meanwhile, notes that Stuttgart are now potential suitors for the FCA's leading goal scorer from last season. 

 

The deal to bring Congolese striker Samuel Essende to Augsburg from relegated Portuguese side F.C. Vizela is reportedly done. Germany's Kicker Magazine reports that Augsburg have finalized the transfer for around €4 million. Essende is expected in Germany to complete his medical and sign a new contract this week. Essende's arrival opens the door for the departure of Ermedin Demirovic, whom the Fuggestädter are known to wish to sell for around €20 million. 

Demirovic has been linked with many sides, most notably A.C. Milan and AS Roma in Italy's Serie A. Germany's "Sport Bild" tabloid nevertheless reports that VfB Stuttgart have now thrown their hat into the ring. The imminent departure of lead-striker Serhou Guirassy leaves the German Champions League representatives in need of a replacement. The paper reports that - following Niclas Füllkrug's rejection - Stuttgart are still looking within German football.
