Former England youth international joins Ingolstadt from Notts County

Keanan Bennetts signed for Ingolstadt after his spell in League Two.

Keanan Bennetts returns to German football as he signed for 3. Liga outfit FC Ingolstadt 04 as a free agent. The 27-year-old has previously played in the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga with Borussia Mönchengladbach and Darmstadt, respectively.

The all-rounder spent last season at Notts County in England’s fourth division. The former England U19 international helped the Magpies to a League One promotion via the playoffs.

Bennets was born in London and spent some time in Tottenham Hotspur’s academy. He was unfortunate with injuries hindering his spell at Gladbach before a relegation to 3. Liga with SV Wehen Wiesbaden. His younger brother Jayden, who previously played for Stuttgart II, is currently plying his trade at semi-professional club Chesham United.
