Jeremie Frimpong looks increasingly likely to move on from Bayer Leverkusen in summer, Sky Sports Germany reports.

The reason the Netherlands international didn’t transfer last summer is due to Xabi Alonso staying and not receiving an offer to his liking.

His dream is to compete in Spain and join either Real Madrid or FC Barcelona.

While a host of top-flight English clubs have also shown interest, Frimpong is less interested in this path.

The 24-year-old feels the Premier League is too physical and doesn’t fit his style of play.

With 3 goals and 5 assists in 25 Bundesliga outings, Frimpong has become an indispensable component of Leverkusen’s right flank.
