Just when Borussia Dortmund thought they were getting a grip on their injury problems, they've been dealt another blow.

According to Ruhr Nachrichten, Serhou Guirassy is a big doubt for Saturday's Bundesliga clash with Freiburg.

The local publication reports that Guirassy has picked up an infection that kept him out of training on Thursday and Friday.

He was also absent when the team travelled to the hotel on Saturday morning.

This means that Dortmund are likely to be without their star striker for the game against Freiburg.

Update (12:56 CET): According to Sky Germany, Guirassy will certainly miss the game.

If Guirassy indeed misses out, Maximilian Beier could move up front, with Donyell Malen or Marcel Sabitzer coming in on the wing.

The Guinea international has hit the ground running at Dortmund following his summer move from Stuttgart, racking up nine goals and four assists in 13 games for the Black and Yellows.
