TSG Hoffenheim have announced a contract extension for managing director for sport Andreas Schicker.

The Bundesliga club confirmed the extension on Wednesday without revealing the exact length of the deal, stating only that it is long-term. According to Sky Germany, it runs until 2030.

“'Andi' has set decisive impulses in recent months and driven our sporting development forward with great clarity and consistency. At the same time, he has kept the club on track during challenging times as sole managing director,” said TSG Hoffenheim shareholder Dietmar Hopp.

“His extension guarantees stability and our shared ambitions.”

At the same time, Hoffenheim confirmed that Daniel Förderer will take over as second managing director, responsible for the commercial area as well as marketing, sales and digital operations.

“With Daniel, we are deliberately bringing economic expertise into the management to further professionalize the club’s structures,” said chairman André Kreuzwieser.

“His strength lies in making organizations more efficient in a sustainable way. He will therefore make a significant contribution to our effectiveness.”
