Hull City make the transfer of Gustavo Puerta permanent using their “option to buy” clause. The Colombian only played 10 games for Die Werkself despite starting his time at the club with a huge prospect,

Since signing for the Championship club, Puerta featured in 28 games. However, Hull City are still in the race to avoid relegation to third-tier football. He scored his only goal in the FA Cup defeat to Doncaster Rovers.

Leverkusen will be forced to go on a squad overhaul this summer, with potential departures of Xabi Alonso and Florian Wirtz expected. However, the first move towards the exit door has seen the permanent departure of the 21-year-old midfielder.
